Benefits and Costs

What is a calling card?
Pre-paid calling cards are telephone cards which work by using a free phone number and PIN, rather than a chip.
A calling card can NOT be inserted into a card operated payphone or mobile phone.

How much do the calling cards cost?
The cost varies from card to card and country to country.

Where can I buy the calling cards?
Mox calling cards can be purchased from internet cafés, call shops, petrol stations, newsagents, train stations, post offices and vending machines, as well as from our partners via the internet.

How long is the card valid for?
The calling card is not valid indefinitely. The validity period is printed on the card itself or can be requested from the wholesaler.

Can I top-up the card?
Generally speaking calling cards cannot be topped-up, but they may have a top-up function, e.g. you can top-up our MoxPrivat card, which has been especially designed for private calls from the workplace at home or abroad.

Does the calling card replace my pre-paid mobile phone card?
No. If you want to use our low-cost mobile phone rates with your pre-paid mobile, your mobile phone’s pre-paid card must be valid. Top this card up first, if necessary.
